The Wind in the Willows (2019) | Art Department | Don’t Panic
This project was created to raise awareness of the depletion of wildlife in the UK and to push the Environmental Bill to the top of the political agenda. The concept takes the much beloved characters from The Wind in The Willows from idyll to dystopia, creating an emotive campaign for change and a ‘Wilder Future’.
“Since the story of Badger, Ratty, and friends was written in 1908, the UK has become one of the most nature-depleted nations in the world. The newly released State of Nature 2019 report shows that one in seven UK species are at risk of extinction today. Watch our favourite characters begin their search for a Wilder Future.”
Directed and Produced by Matthew Day and Thomas Harnett O’Meara for Don’t Panic and The Wildlife Trusts.
