"And our life in the midst of all this would have to face constant transformation, in the course of which whole races would disappear, and the only survivors would be those who were prepared to change the bases of their existence so radically that the reasons why living was so beautiful would be completely overwhelmed and forgotten." - Italo Calvino
To open the play inspired by Italo Calvino's The Aquatic Uncle, I created an intro using a miniature cut set and cardboard titles. I filmed these with projections lighting the imagery, edited with the work of other students who created the abstract evolutionary intro sequence before the titles. As part of the lighting and visuals team, I helped to create a series abstract projections, inspired by the setting and atmosphere in Calvino's work.
